This is a mixed use space with a pastry shop in front & a residence for the owner in back (see Wood Residence in residential). Located in the neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn I was inspired by the urban planning & the off-beat feeling this neighborhood is known for. From my inspiration I drew my concept of off-kilter, contrast and line. I used angles to create an off-kilter feeling that matches the neighborhoods vibe. I used line and contrasting colors to lead you through the space and to draw your attention to architectural features.

Vino is an upscale wine shop located in San Francisco. We drew our concept of aged, luxurious, and organic from the wine the store sells. Our built in shelving on the walls showcases the wine to create a prestigious and luxurious feel, while organic and aged materials (such as reclaimed wood and stone) were used to symbolize the story behind how the wine is made.

Located in Columbus, Ohio, the renovation and rebranding of this "American Fare" restaurant was done to target a more health concious consumer. Therefore the client was looking for an organic and sustainable environment. With this in mind the concept became simple, clean, variation; including furniture and finishes with no harmful chemicals added, while still including variation as no two things in nature are the same.
